Summary– In Matthew 7:16-20, Jesus teaches that a life transformed by God’s power will bear fruit that reflects His love, grace, and truth. This year at camp, we’ll explore what it means to recognize a life changed by God through their actions, character, and influence.

We’ll focus on the Fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23)—as evidence of God’s transformative power in a believer’s life. Through this lens, we’ll dive into the stories of great Christian men and women throughout history, whose lives bore powerful fruit and left a lasting impact on the world.

From the selfless service of Mother Teresa to the bold faith of Martin Luther King Jr., from the creativity of C.S. Lewis to the courage of Corrie ten Boom, we’ll see how the fruit of the Spirit is not just about personal growth—it’s about shaping the world for God’s glory. These lives show us what happens when people allow God’s Spirit to work through them and remind us that He can do the same through us.

Each day, campers will reflect on what it means to bear fruit in their own lives and how they can display God’s power in their actions, attitudes, and relationships. By looking at the examples of these faithful believers and grounding ourselves in Scripture, we’ll discover how to live a life that reflects God’s transformation and makes His love known to the world.

At Second Session, our core goals revolve around maintaining safety, creating a strong sense of community, and fostering Christ-like transformation in each camper. Safety is paramount, and our dedicated staff work tirelessly to create an environment where campers can explore, learn, and grow with confidence and security.

Our ultimate aim is to facilitate Christ-like transformation in every camper. Through engaging activities, thoughtful discussions, and moments of spiritual reflection, we aspire for each camper to leave a little more like Jesus than when they arrived.
