My name is Zeboriah Carter and I am the director for Early Session of Silver Maple Camp. I am the minister at the St. John Church of Christ. For this week, students from 9-18 years old will gather to learn about God, sing songs of praise, form life-long Christian friendships, play games, and learn to encourage one another. This year we will focus on what God’s word says about the mystery of Christ. 

We will begin our week looking at the Old testament and seeing how God promised a savior to the world.  On Tuesday, we will look at how God’s plan came to fruition when Jesus came to the earth as a human thus his plan was revealed.  On Wednesday, we will explore the unexpected twist of the cross.  On Thursday,  we will see that the mystery will triumph over death with the resurrection of Jesus Christ.  And on Friday, we will look at the ongoing mystery of the Holy Spirit in our lives. 

We will have classes taught by counselors from the word of God. We will spend some time in discussion on the topic of the week. We were memorize scripture (a new passage each day). We will also have some time for boys and girls separately to learn from each other. In addition to the time we will spend learning about God, we will also have a great time playing games – like softball, volleyball, soccer, basketball, swimming, arts & crafts – and many other fun activities!
